Septic Tanks & Wastewater Systems

Precast Concrete and Plastic Septic Tanks

We manufacture quality Precast Concrete Tanks that are engineered to be sound, watertight, and withstand loads that other materials cannot withstand. We also distribute Plastic Tanks including Aerobic Treatment Units. Our tanks can be used for either wastewater or freshwater applications.

All of our tanks are manufactured with rubber boot pipe seals which meet the vacuum and hydro-static pressure requirements of ASTM C-923, C-1227, and C-1644-06. A properly serviced septic tank or similar on-site wastewater system component will provide many decades of trouble-free service.

Benefits of Precast Concrete

Environmentally Friendly

With the exception of water, concrete is the most frequently used material on earth. It is nontoxic and made from natural materials, making it an ideal material for on-site wastewater (septic) tanks. Used throughout North America in various applications, concrete does not affect groundwater or surface water quality.

Precast concrete strengthens over a period of time. Being structurally sound allows precast concrete on-site wastewater tanks to be pumped empty without fear of having the tank collapse.

Precast concrete on-site wastewater tanks have a specific gravity of 2.40 which allows the tank to resist buoyant forces better than a tank made from lightweight materials.

When produced in accordance with ASTM C 1227 best practices, precast concrete can be made watertight. Call Hoyte’s today to learn more about our Adirondack septic tank offerings.

Precast Concrete Quality

Precast concrete concrete is that has already been cast or formed in a reusable mold, and cured in a controlled environment. Once the cast product has cured properly and gone through a quality assessment, the item is then transported to the construction site for installation.

Precast Concrete Benefits
  • Cures properly in a climate controlled environment
  • Quality controlled manufacturing process
  • Reduces costs associated with constructing forms on site
Precast Stone
  • Mixed with fine aggregate to resemble naturally occurring stone or rock.
Home improvement projects made easy

Add the finishing touches you need to your home or business.

  • 90 different options of steps including closed-back (1-6 rise)
  • Load-bearing pads for air conditioning units, transformers, etc.
  • Picnic tables and patio blocks
  • Light pole bases and flower pots

Precast concrete is resistant to rain penetration, wind blown debris, and flood damage. Unlike other materials, it can withstand many of winters freeze-thaw cycles in ways other materials which can deteriorate quickly with such frequent exposure to contraction and expansion.

Inedible to Termites and Rodents

Organic materials make the perfect food for creatures like these. Wherever there is wood and moisture, you’ll likely find termites nearby. Precast concrete is resistant to attack from infestations such as termites, rats, and mice.

Concrete buildings from hundreds and even thousands of years ago are still in operation today. Some say concrete can last up to 2,000 years, and there are many structures around the the world that are on their way to such a ripe old age. Make it last with concrete!

Aerobic Treatment Unit (ATU) Septic Systems provide a higher level of treatment than a standard septic system. They can be installed on properties that do not have suitable soil and challenging lots with limited soil conditions.

This system combines filtration, settling, flow equalization, and optional disinfection into a single package.

The advanced aerobic treatment process incorporates a durable watertight polyethylene tank, easily installed at even the most difficult job sites with a four-step Singulair treatment process which flawlessly transforms domestic waste water into clean, odorless effluent in less than 24 hours.

Units come with plant startup, and the first biannual inspection.

The most advanced and versatile treatment system on the market!

The Singulair Green aerobic treatment system incorporates Norweco’s advanced aerobic treatment process, proven in hundreds of thousands of installations for decades, into a durable, watertight polyethylene tank. It is ideal for new or retrofit applications and can be installed easily in the most difficult jobsite with just a backhoe. Incorporating patent-pending support ribs and inherently strong arch shape, the durable Singulair Green tank will provide decades of reliable performance. Single tank convenience; the Singulair Green contains pretreatment, aeration, clarification, filtration, flow equalization, optional disinfection and dechlorination all in one compact treatment unit. The need for additional treatment system tankage is eliminated saving time and money. Homeowners now have unlimited site options for their dream home.

Designed for domestic wastewater, the Singulair Green treatment unit is certified to NSF Standard 40 and our Bio-Kinetic system is certified as a chlorine disinfection device to NSF Standard 46. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) have certified and/or listed all electro-mechanical equipment and components. These listings provide the highest safety, reliability and quality.

Norweco Phos-4-Fade®

Phosphorus Removal Filter

The Phos-4-Fade phosphorus removal filter is a patented, non-mechanical component that can be easily installed as part of any onsite wastewater treatment system. The Phos-4-Fade filter employs proprietary adsorptive media to significantly reduce total phosphorus in the effluent to levels that protect local waterways, while meeting or exceeding the most stringent regulations. Lakes, streams and rivers across North America are being plagued with high levels of nutrients. One of the most common nutrients is phosphorus that feeds algal blooms that jeopardize water sources for fishing, swimming, recreational use and even drinking.

The Phos-4-Fade filter was tested and certified by the Bureau de Normalisation du Quebec (BNQ) through their stringent 12 month test protocol, meeting CAN/BNQ 3680-600 Class P-II as well as NQ 3680-910 Class IV requirements. While satisfactorily completing this stringent test protocol, the Phos-4-Fade filter produced exceptional phosphorus reduction of 97.9%.

Flow enters the inlet chamber of the Phos-4-Fade filter where it then moves downward and passes into the media chamber through an array of transfer ports. Media support channels direct flow beneath the media where evenly spaced apertures provide uniform dispersal of the flow. Progressively sized layers of primary filtration media further distribute the flow to the adsorptive media layer. As the flow passes through the adsorptive media, final polishing takes place as phosphorus adheres to the porous media surfaces. The Phos-4-Fade filter is user friendly, easy to install and maintain, and provides effective total phosphorus removal for any onsite wastewater treatment system.
