The safety of your water is extremely important! That is why we include our exclusive WELLCHECK™ Water Testing with every new residential water well that we drill. This extensive ISO 17025 Certified Water Testing provides a detailed laboratory report on your water quality.
The brine tank is opened to check the salt level, which should be about half full and above the water line. To maintain optimal salt levels, high-quality water softener salt pellets are added as needed.
Salt bridges, the hardened salt crusts that block salt from dissolving properly, will be carefully broken up. Any mushy salt or sludge buildup at the bottom of the tank will be removed to prevent clogging.
The brine tank is disconnected and flushed with clean water. Interior surfaces will be scrubbed with mild detergent to remove residue, mold, or iron bacteria. All surfaces are thoroughly rinsed before refilling with salt and water.
The resin tank is checked for sediment buildup that can reduce softening efficiency. A resin cleaner is used to remove iron, manganese, and organic contaminants. The technician will also check the resin tank’s efficiency and recommend a replacement if necessary (typically about every 10-15 years).
All mechanical and electronic control components will be checked for proper operation. Any leaks, worn seals, or damaged fittings around valves and bypasses will be repaired. To ensure accurate regeneration cycles, software and timers will be updated.
Pipes, fittings, and connections are examined for leaks or corrosion. Any necessary tightening or replacement of components is completed to prevent water loss and potential damage to your plumbing system.
We run the system through a manual regeneration cycle to observe flow rates and confirm that all stages function correctly. Proper brine draw and rinse cycles are verified for optimal softening performance.
Water samples are collected from the raw water supply and the softened water outlet. We test the hardness levels to ensure the system is reducing hardness at 0-1 grains per gallon (gpg). We always record our results to monitor your system performance over time.
Our technicians will provide you with a detailed summary of findings, completed tasks, and any issues detected during maintenance. Recommendations for repairs, resin replacement, or system upgrades are explained in detail.
